Our commitment

It is 1970. I'm 20 years old and on my way to Washington, D.C. to protest the Vietnam war. In my ears, I hear Bob Dylan singing “...the times, they are a changin'." I realized back then that if you want to make changes, you must take a stand for what you believe in, for what matters.

Fast forward to 2017. I'm marching, this time it’s up 5th Avenue in NYC. I’m with my wife, my friends, and hundreds of thousands of strangers.

As I looked up at the sea of people, I had an "aha" moment! It became clear to me that I needed to figure out a way to give back to our society. Most of all, in my small way, to light the road ahead for my grandchildren. We are at a crossroads in American history.

Mark Levine, founder of Inspired Pins

Being in the accessory, jewelry and private label business for my entire career, I knew I could create a product that would speak to my values and provide donations to a cause that matters to me. I made a commitment right then and there to put my money where my mouth is and donated to an organization I respect as a change agent in gaining rights for girls and women around the world.

I chose Equality Now. That is how “Inspired Pins” was born... with our legacy and future in mind.
